3. Product application
DL-Maleic Acid is used in confectionary, beverages, fruit preparations and preserves, desserts, and bakery products as an acidulant, preservative, antioxidants and color fixative. It can keep the natural color of juice and help to resist fatigue and protect the liver, kidney and heart. DL-Malic Acid can be used as excipient in pharmaceutical. DL-Malic Acid is also used primarily to control the pH in cosmetic products.
